Jaime Schmidt started making natural products in her kitchen back in 2010. Pregnant at the time, she was searching for a natural deodorant that not only smelled great but actually worked. Put simply, there wasn’t anything on the market that met her expectations, so she made her own.
Thousands of hours of research and hundreds of recipes later, Jaime arrived at her ideal deodorant formula. After taking her formulas to the local farmers’ market as proof of concept, Schmidt’s spread quickly. So much so that in 2018, GQ Magazine announced that when it comes to natural deodorant, “Schmidt’s changed everything.”
RAISING THE BAR ON NATURAL
Schmidt’s is committed to raising the bar on what a natural product can be and how a naturals manufacturer should behave. They believe that once you make the decision to go natural, you should be rewarded with a product that does what it says it’s going to do. They use trending ingredients to create award-winning deodorants that are truly effective, so you can go natural with confidence.
To them, raising the bar also means doing business and creating their products in ways that are ethical, sustainable, and inclusive. That’s why they are certified natural, vegan, and cruelty-free and disclose their full ingredient lists via SmartLabel: so you have real transparency.
NATURAL, NOT NATURAL-ISH.
They are Certified Natural in Canada & the USA by global certifier Ecocert. Why does this matter?
Believe it or not, there is no regulatory definition for the word “natural” when it comes to cosmetic products like deodorants. In recent years, we’ve seen a lot of confusion between truly natural deodorants and those that just don’t use aluminum, for example. That’s exactly why they made the decision to partner with Ecocert: to give you the peace of mind that you’re buying a product that meets your values. They are so proud to be able to display the Ecocert logo on their labels and give their customers the assurance that their products are truly natural, not just “natural-ish.”
